The colour of the sky at dusk, the vast expanses of water, evokes the freshness, the impressive grandeur of the mountains in the distance. Some primordial peoples believed that the far blue mountains were inhabited by the Gods and Spirits of the ancestors. These beliefs were made to associate blue with religious thought. The test is given by many examples in religious iconography around the world.
In Tibetan Buddhism, for example, the blue in some Mandala symbolizes the state of the initiate that has passed the influence of passions, and then its conscience can finally probe everything with clarity.
In “Blue Harmony” I often thought of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” and “Starry Night on the Rhône“, two works of incredible emotional and chromatic impact.
